Don't confuse "can't" with "don't want to". I'm wondering why so many people think that players who choose not to fight do so because they are not capable.

That's just hair-splitting, Ned. PvP is commonly understood as player versus player combat. That some folks in EVE decided it meant every aspect of competing with each other doesn't change that most people who say that they don't want to pvp mean that they are not interested in fighting other players in ship-to-ship combat.

Wrong. I can do everything I want when I want to. Maybe not where I want, but that's no problem since I can just avoid any area there's PvP going on in.
On the other hand you don't have to do all that stuff. You can just blindly sell whatever you loot and buy whatever you need without looking at the market much. Sure, you won't make the best bargain that way. You don't have to mine or venture into production. You're in a corporation - get someone else to do it for you. Or - gasp! - buy what you need.
I can't (under)stand people who whine about not being able to mine in their favourite system because some PvPers are around. The same goes for people who think they can't play the game without building stuff themselves.
Yes, everything will take longer if you avoid some tasks. But nothing - i repeat: NOTHING - is forced upon you. Except using the market from time to time, but even that can be reduced to a minimum.

Edited by: Sian Tairnesh on 10/05/2007 12:04:39 *yet another sigh* Please tell me how I'm not able to avoid every scenario you just presented by doing whatever I like in another region or maybe with an alt? See, I don't have to focus on just one character to have fun without PvP.
Quote: As far as logistics, not everything on the market is available, some items can be 15 jumps away, and it usually takes corp builder a day or two to fill orders.
As I said: It might take longer, but you don't have to do anything you don't like, except visiting the market.
